Transit times, shipping routes, tracking systems, and port details from major sourcing yards.
1. Shipping Options: RoRo vs. Container
Choosing the right shipping option for your imported vehicle is a key decision that impacts both cost and safety. At Rashisha Motors, we coordinate both Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) and Containerized shipping to suit different needs:
Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo): Vehicles are driven directly onto the vessel's decks, which function like a multi-level parking garage. RoRo is the most cost-effective shipping method for standard cars, SUVs, and running trucks, as it minimizes labor costs and space requirements.
Containerized Cargo: Vehicles are secured inside 20ft or 40ft dry containers. Container shipping is ideal for luxury cars, non-running units, and agricultural machinery, protecting cargo from open-ocean salt air and shipping yard hazards.
2. Sourcing Yards and Transit Times
We source and ship vehicles from key global maritime hubs. Estimated shipping times from each yard are detailed below:
3. Marine Transit Insurance
All vehicles exported by Rashisha Motors are covered by comprehensive marine cargo insurance. Senders are protected against ocean hazards, water damage, total vessel loss, and theft of parts while in transit. In the rare event of damage, our claims department will work with you to process documentation and resolve the claim quickly.
4. Live Vessel Tracking
Once a vehicle is loaded, we send the client the Bill of Lading, vessel name, and voyage number. Senders can use online vessel tracking platforms (like MarineTraffic or VesselFinder) to monitor the ship's position and estimate its arrival time.
